Blurb: It's hard enough being an undergraduate student, an intern at Downtown Manhattan's police station, and a bouncer at a local bar. Add her now ex-boyfriend who recently dumped her for the school's resident bimbo—oh, and she's a werewolf.
Mackenzie Grey meets her match when she is kidnapped by the Brooklyn Pack and tossed between Sebastian and Jonah—the Alpha and the Beta. Being a lone-wolf in the city is dangerous, and now that the Pack has found her, so can every supernatural being in the Tri-State area. And not even her sarcastic, smart mouth can get her out of this.
When a string of kidnappings involves Mackenzie in supernatural politics, she questions her new acquaintances and finds unlikely allies. Can she escape Pack law and keep her freedom—or will she be condemned to an unwanted path?
Mackenzie Grey has started a brand new life in an attempt to escape the Brooklyn Pack. She settles in as a detective in a special unit of the LAPD when her identity is put at risk, and she has no choice but to run again. The question is: does she want to run forever?
As events force Mackenzie to confront her past, she is met with many surprises—including the revelation of her true ancestry. When Packs across the country learn of who she is, Kenz becomes the object of desire in a deadly wolf hunt, and she must once again fight to keep her freedom.
Witnessing first-hand the barbaric treatment of Lunas, Mackenzie has to make a choice—follow the prediction of her Vision Quest or let herself be CAGED...

Review Post for Shift (Mckenzie Grey#1) by Karina Espinosa

Shift (Mckenzie Grey#1)
by Karina Espinosa

Great start to great series, Spoilers

Spoilers Alert!!!
I got this book for my honest review.

Kenzie is just another normal girl in college, her roommate is her best friend Amy and she has a job at the police station where she interns. Then Kenzie ones into the pack into a pack which is very set on its ways. The pack leader is also in by Sebastian who is a tight ass and his second in command is Jonah. Kenzies dead set on ways of not joining the pack. But then they have other issues because one of their own as kidnapped and come to find out many other species to kidnap with also kidnapped by an unknown person. Kenzie hangs around long enough to help them solve their problem. While in that time Sebastian and Jonah both want to clean Kenzie as their own. They keep telling Kenzie to choose who she wants to be with, but you think who she wants to be with me and she also has to join the pack. Come to find out they had a traitor within the back which was a skin walker. Sebastian then tell Kenzie she has to meet Jonahs father and explain how she knew Caleb was the skin walker but Kenzie claims she just had a hunch and went for it and it paid off and she killed him. Then she meets with Jonahs father Who cleans Kenzie was adopted and they have blood samples to prove it. Kenzie claims that is he wrong. But does the thing about her background that is mysterious. In the end Kenzie see all the species who is kidnapped and in the pack eyes she is a hero and now they are happy to let her in the pack the Kenzie isn't joining them. In fact her and Amy her best friend have plans of leaving as soon as the full moon comes but Kenzie has other plans that she's not including Amy. I for one am anxious to continue reading the series.
The only complaint I would have is the author couldn't be more creative with the names of the city when the names with alphabet city so original and boring. Me and Kenzie didn't choose anyone to be with you know I'll probably pick the office Sebastian since he has more power then Jonah and seems to like Kenzie more. I'm not saying she shouldn't go with Jonah but Sebastian just have the power to make sure Kenzie is safe from the others. I would recommend this book to anyone who love shifters that also like a little vampires and face and skin walkers but warning the skin walker in this book was the bad guy. I am planning on starting the second book as soon as I finish this review.

Forsaken by Jana Oliver My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Forsaken (The Demon Trappers, #1)Forsaken by Jana Oliver
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Riley Blackthorne just needs a chance to prove herself—and that’s exactly what the demons are counting on...

Seventeen-year-old Riley, the only daughter of legendary Demon Trapper, Paul Blackthorne, has always dreamed of following in her father's footsteps. The good news is, with human society seriously disrupted by economic upheaval and Lucifer increasing the number of demons in all major cities, Atlanta’s local Trappers’ Guild needs all the help they can get—even from a girl. When she’s not keeping up with her homework or trying to manage her growing crush on fellow apprentice, Simon, Riley’s out saving distressed citizens from foul-mouthed little devils – Grade One Hellspawn only, of course, per the strict rules of the Guild. Life’s about as normal as can be for the average demon-trapping teen.

But then a Grade Five Geo-Fiend crashes Riley’s routine assignment at a library, jeopardizing her life and her chosen livelihood. And, as if that wasn’t bad enough, sudden tragedy strikes the Trappers’ Guild, spinning Riley down a more dangerous path than she ever could have imagined. As her whole world crashes down around her, who can Riley trust with her heart—and her life?
Riley's a strong main character from the start of the book i was happily sucked into the drama and danger of her life and watched things go from bad to worse in her life. Riley is a Demon trapper like her dad and in a world where hells creatures are everywhere demon trappers have a hard time keeping on top of it. The book is full of action and Danger the book has solid and likeable Characters.

While the book is packed with action and amazing fighting and so much more there was also a lot of emotional parts and stuff that helped build and showed you why each character was the way they are. I enjoyed the fact the main character Riley is both hard and soft and does have a lot going on even if she sometimes keeps it inside she is easy to follow. The other characters in the book worked will with each other and i loved the whole vibe of this future world that is both the same as now from the money problems in the world to teens drama and all sorts but also new and different thanks to the monsters also the system is so dfferent from our one Jana Oliver has such a creative mine and a way with words that keeps you hooked i enjoyed the book so much and cant wait to move onto the next one

Tiger's Curse Collector's Boxed Set by Colleen Houck My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tiger's Curse Collector's Boxed Set (Tiger Saga, #1-4)
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Passion. Fate. Loyalty.

Would you risk it all to change your destiny?

The last thing Kelsey Hayes thought she’d be doing this summer was trying to break a 300-year-old Indian curse. With a mysterious white tiger named Ren. Halfway around the world. But that’s exactly what happened. Face-to-face with dark forces, spellbinding magic, and mystical worlds where nothing is what it seems, Kelsey risks everything to piece together an ancient prophecy that could break the curse forever.

Tiger’s Curse is the exciting first volume in an epic fantasy-romance that will leave you breathless and yearning for more.

I'd like to start by saying I've been struggling of late to read any book and i got myself to a point that i was worried that i might not get back to how much i loved reading and losing myself within a book but I'm glad i decided to pick this set up again i had read the first three book before but had not finished so i started a fresh and found myself consumed and lost within its pages not wanting to put the book down or go to sleep.

The books are so well written and there is so much feeling in every word. characters changed and grew before you eyes and i found that i laughed and cried along with the book to me that's a big sign about any book when you feel so deeply for the characters your reading about. i enjoyed how the book progressed and changed and the whole feel of the thing by the time i got to the last few pages of the book i found that i was sad that it had come to a end but happy that I'd gotten to the conclusion of it all.

The author did a amazing job to pull me in and keep me at the edge of my seat till the last word on the page and I'm super glad that i took the time to read this set of amazing books so it was really easy to give this set 5 stars.

Give away Drink, Slay, Love by Sarah Beth Durst

Drink, Slay, Love

Pearl is a sixteen-year-old vampire... fond of blood, allergic to sunlight, and mostly evil... until the night a sparkly unicorn stabs her through the heart with his horn. Oops.

Her family thinks she was attacked by a vampire hunter (because, obviously, unicorns don't exist), and they're shocked she survived. They're even more shocked when Pearl discovers she can now withstand the sun. But they quickly find a way to make use of her new talent. The Vampire King of New England has chosen Pearl's family to host his feast. If Pearl enrolls in high school, she can make lots of human friends and lure them to the King's feast -- as the entrees.

The only problem? Pearl's starting to feel the twinges of a conscience. How can she serve up her new friends—especially the cute guy who makes her fangs ache—to be slaughtered? Then again, she's definitely dead if she lets down her family. What's a sunlight-loving vamp to do?
